Do I need sharpening, profiling, or both?

If your edges feel dull or your turns feel skiddy, you need a sharpen - we recommend doing this for every 8-10 hours of ice time. If your skates have never been profiled, you've just bought new steel, or it's been a good few months since your last profile, getting a profile built around your stride is one of the best-value upgrades you can make, and it comes with a sharpen included. Do you service skates I didn't buy from Puck Stop?

Absolutely. We sharpen and profile steel for skaters of every level across all the major brands - it doesn't matter where your skates came from.

Can you sharpen and profile goalie skates?

Yes. We sharpen goalie steel and offer dedicated goalie profiles - Goalie SAM for agility and Goalie Ellipse for stability - alongside our player options.

How does the mail-in service work

Order the service you need, then post your steel to us - wrapped so the edges are protected, with your order number inside the package. Once it arrives, we'll sharpen or profile it to your spec within 48 hours and send it straight back via 24-hour shipping, so you're rarely without your skates for more than a few days. Our mail-in service covers the whole of the UK, so where you play doesn't limit what you can get done. Each product page has the full detail on removing and packaging your runners.
