Ice Hockey Pucks and Training Balls FAQs

Which ice hockey puck should I use to practice?

Besides 6oz regulation weight ice hockey pucks, we stock a range of training pucks to help you improve your game. Our heavier 10oz pucks help you develop stronger passing, while pucks with added grip or rubber components are perfect for your shooting or stickhandling drills.

What is the difference between a roller hockey puck and an ice hockey puck?

Inline or roller hockey pucks are lighter than ice hockey pucks. They are designed to ensure they remain balanced and glide smoothly over indoor and outdoor surfaces.

Do I need a puck or a ball for street hockey?

Street hockey is played on foot rather than skates, and is usually played with a hockey ball specifically designed to keep bouncing and skipping to a minimum. On smooth surfaces you can also play with a lightweight street hockey puck.
