CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D Stick

04/10/2018

The CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D PMT stick is built for the sharpshooter.

Quick release

The Trigger 3D stays true to the quick release DNA of previous Ribcor sticks. Featuring an optimised low kick-point making it ideal for sniping in close to the net with the incredibly quick release.

The unique geometry of the stick creates a softer taper and also allows for an optimal vertical flex of the stick. In English this means that the stick is more efficient at snapping back for a super quick release.

The overall flex profile has also been optimized with an enhanced flex zone in the upper third of the shaft allowing players to store maximum energy.  The result is a shaft designed to maximize both ease of loading and quick releases.

Improved Pop Matrix Technology

Pop Matrix Technology (PMT) was first seen on the Trigger 2 stick, and has been tweaked to improve the speed of release, and the response when the stick flexes as you shoot. The updated PMT uses and more gradual transition which you can see in green below.

X-Flow Technology

This is another recent introduction to CCM’s stick building process which we first saw on the Super Tacks AS1 stick. X-Flow is a moulding technology that CCM is using which helps to create a lighter, more consistent stick construction. By being able to eliminate excess weight in both the blade and shaft by removing excess resin and voids, whilst using more Carbon Fibre than before gives super durability and performance. This results in a super balanced stick with great puck feel and greater durability.

Ascent Blade 3

To create a stick which feels right in the hands, the blade and shaft must complement each other. With the low kick shaft, CCM have utilised the Ascent Blade 3. It offers a softer zone at the heel for great puck control. CCM have increased stiffness as you move from heel to toe to prevent the blade twisting to ensure your shot stays on target.

Made of Hockey

CCM have used Sigmatex in the design and construction of the Trigger 3D. This is an exclusive spread tow fabric developed by one of the world’s leaders in composite technology that is not only ultra-lightweight, but very strong due to its high tension weaving process. This allows CCM to build a feather light stick that doesn’t sacrifice strength.

The CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D PMT hockey stick along with the full Ribcor stick lineup will be available in store and online on October 26, 2018.
